How do I get the original home screen back?
Nothing you did is permanent. If you used TV Launcher Manager, press Restore: it puts back the exact home it recorded. If you disabled the stock launcher over ADB, one command re-enables it. If HOME shows a black screen because the launcher was uninstalled, the same command brings the stock home back. Every case is below, shortest first.
Case 1 · You used TV Launcher Manager
- Open the tool and connect to the boxSame as when you set it up.
- Press RestoreIt re-enables the stock launcher if it was disabled and sets the home app back to the one it recorded before the change.
- Press HOMEThe stock home screen is back. Your launcher stays installed; only HOME changed.
Case 2 · You disabled the stock launcher by hand (ADB)
The easiest way: open TV Launcher Manager and press Restore — it runs the undo for you, automatically. If you prefer to finish the way you started, by hand: run the line for your box; running both is harmless — the one that is not installed just says it does not exist.

adb shell pm enable com.google.android.tvlauncheradb shell pm enable com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherxThen press HOME. If the TV asks which home app to use, pick the stock one and choose Always.
Case 3 · HOME shows a black screen or nothing happens
This is what happens when the stock launcher is disabled and the launcher you set as home has been uninstalled or crashed. The TV has no home app. It is not broken — it needs one home app enabled, and the commands above do exactly that. If you cannot reach Settings from the remote, open them over ADB:

adb shell am start -a android.settings.SETTINGSDebugging stays on after a reboot, so ADB still reaches the box even with no home screen. That is the one reason not to switch debugging off until you are happy with the result.
Case 4 · You want the stock launcher back as HOME but keep yours installed
- TV Launcher Manager: Restore does this without uninstalling anything.
- By hand: if your TV has Settings › Apps › Default apps › Home app, pick the stock launcher there.
- If it does not: re-enable the stock launcher with the commands above; most boxes then return HOME to it on their own.
- If your launcher captures HOME with its accessibility service, switch that service off in Settings › Accessibility.
Questions
Did I lose anything?
No. Disabling a launcher for user 0 keeps the app and its data; enabling it brings everything back as it was. No route here uninstalls the stock launcher or resets the TV.
I do not have a computer near the TV.
An Android phone on the same Wi‑Fi works: TV Launcher Manager has an Android app, and any ADB app can run the pm enable line.
Can I switch debugging off afterwards?
Yes, once HOME does what you want. Developer options › USB debugging › Off. Turn it on again if you ever need to change things back.
